UF Hamilton Center & FINS Join Forces

FINS is happy to announce that it now counts among its ranks Dr. William Inboden, Director of UF’s new Hamilton Center for Classical and Civic Education. Established by state legislature in the fall of 2022 and named after Alexander Hamilton – first U.S. Secretary of Treasury and known as the founder and chief architect of the American financial system – the new institute’s core mission is to “help students develop the knowledge, habits of thought, analytical skills, and character to be citizens and leaders in a free society.”

Along with FINS, Dr. Inboden and the new institute are prioritizing national security research endeavors in Florida @UF.
With over twenty-five years of experience serving in various government and civic service roles, Dr. Inboden undeniably brings a wealth of knowledge and invaluable insight to our team. As former Senior Director for Strategic Planning and Institutional Reform in the National Security Council of the White House, for example, he worked on a range of foreign policy issues -including National Security Strategy, democracy and governance, and multilateral institutions and initiatives.
He concurrently also still holds roles as an Associate with the National Intelligence Council and is member of both the CIA Historical Advisory Panel and the State Department’s Historical Advisory Council.

Additionally, as an author, Dr. Inboden has published numerous articles and book chapters on American foreign policy, the presidency, and American history, as well as several books, such as his most recent: “The Peacemaker: Ronald Reagan, The Cold War, and The World on the Brink”. (2022) His work has also been featured in numerous outlets including the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, USA Today, Foreign Policy, Politico, National Review, The Hill, World, Weekly Standard, NPR, CNN, and BBC.

FINS looks forward to his contributions and pursuing collaborations with the Hamilton Center in the future!
